Meryl, 69, is playing his late character, Perry Wright’s mother, Mary Louise Wright, in the show and so she was adamant she needed to look like him. To do this Meryl came up with the idea of donning some matching pearly whites. They were all snapped at The Wing Soho at 52 Mercer Street in New York, NY 10013, USA.
“They were 100 per cent fashioned and inspired by Alex’s teeth,” confirmed the show’s executive producer Gregg Fienberg. “She is his mother after all. It was Meryl’s brilliant idea.”
The sneaky actress also took it upon herself to have the teeth made and didn’t tell cast or crew until she popped them in ahead of filming.
Don’t get too used to Meryl’s new smile though she only sports them in the show. When Celebritywotnot caught up with her and her co-stars, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern in New York recently she looked like the same Meryl we all know and love.
The cast were all smiles as they arrived and departed at Wing Soho in Manhattan for a Vanity Fair interview and we couldn’t help notice Reese graciously taking an extra long time to sign plenty of fan’s autographs.
