The Walk of Fame is administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust. A committee selects celebrities eligible for a star and those who accept and pay $30,000 in costs and fees.
On June 21st, 2013, Jennifer Lopez received the 2,500th star with boyfriend Casper Smart, her 5-year-old twins Max and Emme, and friends including Jane Fonda, Keenen Ivory Wayans and “Selena” director Gregory Nava by her side.
Walk of Fame Trivia: Two pairs of stars share identical names representing different people. There are two Harrison Ford stars: honoring the silent film actor and the present-day actor and two Michael Jackson stars representing the singer/dancer/songwriter and the radio personality.
