Connor Claire Born in Los Angeles, Kristen Stewart was discovered by a talent scout while she was performing in a Christmas play at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas. Then, after auditioning for a year, she gained her first role with a small, non-speaking part in the Disney Channel TV-movie The Thirteenth Year. Her next on-screen appearance was in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas where she played the “Ring Toss Girl”!!
Kristen made her speaking role debut alongside Glenn Close in the 2001 film, The Safety of Objects and then her first starring role was in Catch that Kid with High School Musical alum Corbin Bleu. As her fame started to skyrocket, she was homeschooled for grades 9-12 due to her busy schedule.
Kristen replaced Hayden Panettiere for the role of Sarah Altman in Panic Room, which also starred Jodie Foster in 2002. Panic Room was originally supposed to star Nicole Kidman but she had to leave after aggravating a previous injury. In 2003, Stewart was cast in Cold Creek Manor alongside Sharon Stone.
And then, as we all know, in 2008 she got her break when she was cast as Bella in the Twilight saga. She even received her high school diploma while filming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, at age 19.
Her full name is Kristen Jaymes Stewart and she has an older brother, Cameron, and two adopted brothers, Dana and Taylor. Her father, John, is a stage manager and producer who co-produced “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest”. Her mother, Jules, is an Australian script supervisor.
Kristen says Noosa Heads in Queensland is one of her favorite places on earth and her Australian heritage inspired the name of one of her dogs, a border collie named Oz.
Kristen grew up with a family who worked behind the camera but didn’t considered being an actor. She thought she would possibly be a screenwriter/director. “I never wanted to be the center of attention – I wasn’t that ‘I want to be famous, I want to be an actor’ kid. I never sought out acting, but I always practiced my autograph because I love pens. I’d write my name on everything.”

During an interview with her friend, Suzie Riemer, on her YouTube show “Carversations”, she says her favorite snacks are cheeseburgers and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. If Stewart could be any animal, she said she would like to be a cat. “With cats, you’re like ‘Come here!’ And they’re standing there being like, ‘F*** you!'” In an interview with Juliette Lewis, Stewart said: “[Dogs] make me feel safe. But I love cats, too.” “I had a cat for a while who I was really obsessed with, but when my dad, John, got cancer, he took him…” “…and I didn’t really have the heart to take him back when my dad was better. In 2007, Stewart co-starred with Emile Hirsch in Into the Wild in which she also sang. Kristen co-wrote & performed the song “Tracy’s Song” for the movie. Emile Hirsch then recommended her for the part of Bella in the Twilight series to director Catherine Hardwicke who he’d worked with on Lords of Dogtown. She became a household name after landing the role of Bella Swanson in Twilight.

Stewart earned $12.5 million for the last two Twilight films, and was also able to negotiate a share of the films’ total profits. She celebrated her 19th birthday while filming The Twilight Saga: New Moon in British Columbia, specifically while shooting Bella Swan’s 18th birthday scene.
She had to wear brown contact lenses for Twilight because she has naturally green eyes while Bella’s eyes are supposed to be brown. Stewart wore the brown colored contacts in the first 4 of the Twilight films. In the 5th and final film, Stewart wore red contacts when she was a newborn vampire and amber color contacts as she matures towards the end of the film.
While filming the trilogy, Kristen began a relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson in 2008 but the couple kept it private until stepping out together in 2010 on an island off the coast of England. Kristen took a while to “fall in love” with him. Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke spoke to Time about their romance: “I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, ‘OK, I’ve got to give this a go and really try to be with this person.”

It’s ‘the kiss that almost was’, when Kristen and Robert accepted Best Kiss trophy at the MTV Movie Awards for Twilight. When asked what was her favorite scene from Twilight, she told MTV, it was when Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) goes shirtless in front of Bella’s father, Charlie (Billy Burke). After filming Twilight, Stewart kept the rings Bella wore during the film including the moon ring Bella’s mom gave her, and the wedding ring Bella received from Edward.

As we all know, her indiscretion with SnowWhite & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, which incidentally is none of our business, lead to a series of Trump tweets… Stewart supposedly directed a film about her breakup with Robert Pattinson. Welcome to the Rileys was the first movie Stewart filmed by herself as a legal adult. She felt being alone for the first time added to her role as a 16-year old runaway living alone in New Orleans. In order to prepare for her role, Kristen visited a New Orleans strip club and learned to pole dance. Kristen Stewart’s family has pet wolves. The star’s mum Jules Stewart kept them as pets when Kristen was a child and still has four to this day. She says Kristen visits them often at her ranch in Santa Monica, California – where they have the run of the house.
