Mel, who plays policeman Brett Ridgeman, fashioned a mustache and wore a denim shirt as he climbed out of an old Chevrolet and could be seen shouting over at his co-star Vince Vaughn, who plays Anthony Lurasetti.

The film centers around the โ€œold timerโ€ cop, Mel, and fellow police officer Vince, who are suspended from their police duties and decide to rob a bank.
