Katherine Langford was pictured on the roof of a car shouting back at protesters as she filmed scenes on the set of her new sci-fi thriller, Spontaneous!

The Australian actress showed off her blonde hair playing the lead role, Mara Carlyle, that will see her spontaneously bursting into flames.

The scene saw dozens of protesters their signs were directed at Katherine’s character reading ‘You Are The Covington Curse’, ‘The Devil Inside Your Children Has Found His Way Out’, ‘Covington Is Doomed’, and ‘No Peace For The Weekend’.
The 13 Reasons Why star was also filmed dramatic scenes where she was covered in blood walking down the middle of the road. She then stops traffic while an FBI agent tries to collect her and drag her inside a car. Check out our video below:

Katherine’s character also had a white bandage on her head as she confronted the protesters wearing black jeans, a matching black tee, and green boots.

Covington is the town where the film is being set, which is in Washington State, but the movie is being filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

Spontaneous is a sci-fi/fantasy film where the lead character Mara Carlyle, is a high school senior who “discovers that she may spontaneously burst into flames at any moment.”

The cast also includes Hayley Law as Tess McNulty, Charlie Plummer as Dylan, Chelah Horsdal as Denise, Kaitlyn Bernard as Skye and Laine MacNeil as Jenna Dalton.

Spontaneous Trivia: Spontaneous will be directed by Brian Duffield who wrote the screenplays for Babysitter (2017) and Insurgent (2015). This will be his first film as a director.
