CK Whittle Director Kevin Smith looked to be back to full health after suffering a heart attack last February. The Mallrats director looked to be in full flow directing Melissa Benoist on the set of Supergirl Season 4.
Kevin was told his arteries were 100% blocked but he said “Honestly the heart attack was the best thing that ever happened to me,” he told the TODAY show.
Kevin has gone on to lose lots of weight and even posted on his Instagram that it was the first time since High School he was under 200 pounds.
His full message read: The scale said 198 today! This is the first time since High School that I’ve weighed under 200 pounds! Never… NEVER imagined I could get here again but a heart attack can be a great motivator. This #wwambassador thanks @ww – whose Points system made it possible to drop the lbs! Melissa Benoist was playing the part of her alter ego Kara Danvers during the scenes where she was talking with two friends walking down the street in National City AKA Vancouver, Canada.

Melissa wore a tan coat and matching brown handbag wearing spectacles as she filmed scenes in the bright October sunshine. At one point Kevin Smith posed with fans and was even handed a gold award! We’re not sure what the award was for but Kevin happily accepted it and posed for a picture.
Kevin’s weight loss was certainly noticeable on set but he still wore his trademark Hockey jersey, this time with the Mickey Mouse Club emblazoned on it.
Kevin even gave a colleague a double thumbs up on the CW film set wearing his white baseball cap backwards.
