Hollywood legend Jeff Bridges was pictured filming scenes for the upcoming thriller called Bad Times at the El Royale which will also star Chris Hemsworth.

Pictured wearing a mask covering his face, Jeff was joined by two accomplices as they collected money in a bag from an overturned truck.

The highly anticipated film is set in the 1960’s with Jeff in character and laughing with the crew and his co-stars between takes.

Carrying a shotgun, Jeff’s character dressed in a smart retro outfit and carried a leather bag as the snow came down around them with the help of some high-powered fans.
The film has been shrouded in mystery with the first pics being seen right here. The movie is set in Lake Tahoe, California and features a run-down hotel called the ‘El Royale’.

The crime-thriller also stars Russell Crowe, Dakota Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, Cynthia Erivo, Cailee Spaeny and Mark O’Brien.

The film also looks like it’s set around Christmas time with a big festive sign reading “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” with Santa Claus winking on it!

Although Chris Hemsworth wasn’t spotted on set, the Australian actor has also apparently signed up for the yet to be titled Star Trek sequel, the follow-up to Star Trek: Beyond (2016) playing George Kirk.

Talking to CinemaBlend Chris Hemsworth described the film as a “’60s noir thriller,” and according to IMDB’s Trivia Section: “Goddard’s process of selling the spec was under heavy secrecy with the script only going to top studio execs for the potential buyers had to read off a tablet and then return it when done.”

Chris Hemsworth and director Drew Goddard have worked together before in the 2012 comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods.

Bad Times at the El Royale is set for release in October 2018. The director Drew Goddard is originally from New Mexico and was also an executive producer on The Martian (2015).
